dio:semantic - Basic functions
Helpful pre-structuring of large quantities of text.
picturesafe dio:semantic is especially valuable to those companies who receive a large number of text documents in various formats and have to provide these with a dynamic structure:

In the past, such content preparation work usually had to be carried out by way of manual organization in a static category system, which itself was also associated with a high manual input. These tasks are now performed automatically by dio:catelyzer through an integrated, complete knowledge database:
- IPTC thesaurus with approx. 1000 trained categories
- List of entities with tens of thousands of persons and organizations
A knowledge database that can be trained
The IPTC thesaurus and list of entities are updated and supplemented by picturesafe each month in conjunction with the dpa. Training material and stored entities can be added individually at any time. Of course, it is also possible to build up individual knowledge databases. Helpful here is the fact that dio:semantic supports the simultaneous use of several thesauri within one server.
The initial integration of picturesafe dio:semantic is easy and the ongoing maintenance minimal. The automation of previously manual processes and the generation of high numbers of highly relevant hits have a major impact on improving the value-creation potential of content.
